Yichen Lai is the Lecturer (Tenured Assistant Professor) of Law at Faculty of Economics, Shiga University, where he teaches corporate law and commercial law. He is also currently a visiting fellow at the Japan Securities Dealers Association. His research focuses on the law and economics of corporate governance and financial markets. Before embarking on his academic career, he qualified for the Taiwan bar and practiced in Taiwan.
