Tasos Panoutsopoulos is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Department of Political Science, NTU, supported by a Taiwan Fellowship, and at the China Program of the Institute of International Relations (IDIS) in Athens, Greece. He earned his PhD in History from the University of Athens in 2022. Previously, he held a Postdoctoral Fellowship at Princeton University, was a Fulbright Visiting Scholar at Columbia’s Saltzman Institute of War and Peace Studies, and a Visiting Researcher at LSE’s European Institute. His research focuses on the diplomatic, economic, and cultural relations between Greece and China within the context of US-China competition, as well as Greece-Taiwan diplomatic relations. His work extends to examining the broader implications of China’s rise for the US, EU, and NATO, with a particular emphasis on small and medium-sized states. Committed to policy-oriented research, he aims to provide actionable insights for policymakers.
