Eligibility of Visiting scholar

Visiting scholars are individuals who whose primary purpose for residence on NTU campus is to conduct research and / or lectures. The applicant shall NOT possess a student identity when applying for the program. With a NTU host’s official invitation letter, you may apply for NTU visiting scholar program. The length of stay for a visiting scholar is normally not more than one year.

*The application of Visiting Scholar Program has fully gone online, NTU OIA no longer accept email or hard-copy application. 

* If your duration of stay in Taiwan will be over 180 days, the applicant should seek the approval from Taiwan Ministry of Education prior to your application to NTU OIA. Please contact the host department for details. 

*Currently PRC passport holders are still postponed for academic exchange to Taiwan, unless the host at NTU may issue official document for Ministry of Education’s Approval to apply for Exit and Entry Permits of Republic of China. If there’s further update, we will post here.
